Wednesday 8/11; Water service will be turned off at 8:00 am to a section of School Street in order to complete the work. Total estimated time for water to be off is 5-6 hours. Customers who are directly impacted by the water shut off received hand delivered notification in advance and are reminded to please plan accordingly.
Thursday 8/12; Gate valve work continues 8am-2pm, however no homes or hydrants will be out of water service on day two.
Due to changing direction of water flow during construction, customers may or may not experience temporary water discoloration. Should this occur, please run the water until color clears. As a precaution to protect laundry, customers are urged to check clothing washers to make sure water color is clear before adding laundry.
