Description
FIRE ISLAND, NY — Some Fire Island communities are slated to be treated for mosquitoes — weather permitting on Tuesday, according to the Suffolk County Department of Public Works.
Davis Park, Fire Island Pines, and Point O'Woods' streets and boardwalks are expected to be treated between 5:30 and 10 p.m. with Anvil, in the form of an ultra-low volume aerosol during ground-spraying, officials said.
Other locations include Ocean Bay Park, Ocean Beach, Seaview, Water Island, Summer Club, and Atlantique, officials said.
It's not just areas on the barrier island which are scheduled to be sprayed.
