WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — County officials are asking for the public's input on how millions of dollars in American Rescue Plan Act funds should be delegated. Westchester County Executive George Latimer has announced two public forums for the community to share their thoughts on how the infusion of federal money can best be put to use for county residents. "The American Rescue Plan Act provides a substantial infusion of resources to help turn the tide on the pandemic, address its economic fallout, and lay the foundation for a strong and equitable recovery," the organizers of the public meeting wrote in an open invitation to participate in one of two upcoming forums. "These community input sessions are to solicit ideas for programs that address these needs." The first meeting is scheduled for August 24. The session will be held at the New Rochelle City Council Chamber at 515 North Ave. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A follow-up meet will take place on September 13. The public forum will be held at the Mount Kisco Library at 100 Main St. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
