Job description The Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for providing accounting and analytical support to the Director of Financial Planning as well as other Finance leaders. This role will require for the financial planning analyst to assist the accounting team with preparing profit, cash flow, forecasting and making recommendations to the leadership team that are profitable and align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities · Assist department with preparation of quarterly forecasts/Last Estimates, in particular, providing supporting analysis for assumptions, explanation of variances, and commercial insight. · Coordinate with the CFO and the executive team on long-term financial planning · Analyze financial data and create financial model to deliver to senior executives and business partners. · Provide monthly financial analytics (volume, gross margin per brand and customer). Partner with different stakeholders to provide the most accurate assessment of the financial impact of commercial opportunities. · Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and making recommendations for areas of improvement. · Provide monthly financial analytics for WC and Capex investments. Prepare comments for Monthly Free Cash Flow analysis · Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data · Assist the Manager of FP&A with monthly internal and external reporting requirements of all business units. · Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential. · Provide strong leadership and communication to the different business units. Skills and Competences required · 5+ years of relevant work experience · BS Degree in Finance or Accounting · MBA preferred. · Strong work-ethic, flexibility and willingness to get the job done and be solution-oriented · Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions · Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications · Strong analytical and data gathering skills · Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills · Ability to multitask and meet deadline · Knowledge of Lawson or Hyperion also highly desirable · The ability to manage project related work in an efficient manner with little supervision and manage tight deadlines.
