NEW YORK CITY (August 10, 2021)-- Elizabeth Woodley, an IT specialist with more than two decades of experience, has joined START Treatment & Recovery Centers as vice president of information technology development. The non-profit is New York’s largest independent drug treatment agency, and has treated more than 50,000 New Yorkers since it was founded 51-years ago. Ms. Woodley will report directly to START’s CEO Lawrence S. Brown, Jr., MD, MPH, FACP, DFASAM. “Ms. Woodley is a senior executive who brings START more than 25 years of experience in the information technology field,” said Dr. Brown. “She is a former CIO who successfully led multiple teams through large, complex Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other software application implementations, and she will spearhead the expansion of our agency’s IT systems and capacity. We are delighted to welcome her to our leadership team. Throughout her career, Ms. Woodley has successfully designed and implemented IT infrastructure, and cyber security programs, and maintained oversight of daily operations. Most recently, she was CEO of Comprehensive Consulting and Coaching. Before that, she served as director of ambulatory services at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she directed the implementation of the Epic EMR system. She oversaw IT operations for the ambulatory portion of the Epic Together team for 100K end users for Columbia University Medical Center, Columbia Doctors, NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicinethroughout the tri state area, including the expansion of telemedicine, and scheduling and documentation of COVID vaccines. Prior to that, she was chief information security officer at White Plains Hospital. Before that, she was the hospital’s director of information technology. Ms. Woodley received a master’s degree with a concentration in information technology from Monroe College’s King Graduate School in New Rochelle, NY.
