ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Anne Arundel County with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. The first day of school for most students in Anne Arundel County is either Sept.8 or Sept. 9 depending upon grade. Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. Face coverings will be required this fall for all Anne Arundel County Public Schools students and staff. The mask mandate applies to everybody, even those who have gotten the coronavirus vaccine.
