Owensboro Health announced the recipients of its annual Community Health Investment program Tuesday.
Over $700,000 went to thirty five agencies in the latest round of grants from Owensboro Health.
Among them, the Bluegrass Hall of Fame and Museum to program music to help in post- COVID healing of the community. CASA of the Ohio Valley received a grant for volunteer recruitment for community awareness and engagement on issues of child abuse and resilience factors.
Daviess County Public Schools will get funds to create safe spaces and professional development to address mental health and suicide. The Green River District Health Department receive a grant for prescription assistance and access to care program reaching at-risk vulnerable populations.
A release from Owensboro Health says the program has invested more than $7 million in area agencies since 2011.
"You Should've Been There/M.O. (Watercolor on Canvas) Duke Webber's work will be in the Artistry Unhoused exhibit at the Arts Council starting next week.
An important piece of World War Two history is in Evansville.
