Press release from the City of Wheaton: August 10, 2021 Stonebridge Trail will be closed to through traffic starting Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021 as crews with the Wheaton Sanitary District's Northside Interceptor Project work in this area. This closure is expected to last approximately one week. Detour signs in this area will be posted directing traffic to use Shaffner Road, Roosevelt Road, Adare Drive, Creekside Drive, and Spring Green Drive. See the map here for the detour route to get around the road closure. The Wheaton Sanitary District is currently working to reconstruct and upsize the Northside Interceptor, which directs wastewater from portions of Carol Stream and Wheaton to the District's Wastewater Treatment Plant. This is a two-year project, with the majority of the work being done south of Roosevelt Road in 2021. This press release was produced by the City of Wheaton.
