Description
Press release from the Cass County Government:
08/10/2021 8:00 am
The Cass County Highway Department and Clay County Highway Department have closed the bridge crossing on Cass County Road 34 and Clay County Highway 36, also known as the Georgetown Bridge. The closure is due to a roadway slump west of the bridge. The closure is not due to structural issues with the bridge. Clay County has coordinated with the MNDOT to complete a bridge inspection the week of August 16-20. Following the results of the inspection, Cass and Clay Counties will evaluate when to reopen the bridge. While the bridge is closed, residents are asked to detour to either the bridge east of Harwood on Cass 22/Clay 26, or to the bridge west of Perley on Cass 26/Norman 39.
If you have questions regarding this road closure please contact the Cass County Engineer by calling (701) 298-2370 or [email protected].
