Why are they utilizing metal detectors at the State fair? Why did they ever wand anyone? Do they REALLY think that prevents any "incidents"? There are always tons of cops out there and I have never heard of a shooting or stabbing. What about the campers? Tired of people trying to make you submit to arbitrary rules and increased encroachments on your rights? People should boycott the fair on sheer principle. And ya know, IF hypothetically EVERY SINGLE PERSON attending the fair had say fifty different random metal objects on them, the metal screening process would grind to a halt. It would not be possible. If each person emptied that many items one at a time, can you imagine? What spineless moron came up with the idea of metal detectors at a family and agriculture event? You should be ashamed teaching your kids to submit to this garbage.
