The Sun Protection Foundation () and Sun Precautions, Inc. () are going to be conducting an outdoor sunscreen test at a park in West Seattle. We expect the testing, which is dependent on sunny weather, to occur from 8/30 through 9/2 and the following week from 9/7 through 9/11. We will be testing the real sun protection offered by sunscreens and fabrics. This will be our seventh year conducting this research, and the results have been presented at numerous medical conferences over the past few years. We need to screen potential candidates to make sure they have the appropriate skin for the research. We only accept healthy individuals without a history of skin cancers. No pregnant women may participate. You will be lying on your stomach on a massage table for just under four hours and will be rewarded $150 for participating after follow up photos are taken the day after the study. You will be sun protected with sunscreens and fabrics except for up to 10 unprotected skin sites, where you will get minor redness equivalent to being in the sun for up to 20-30 minutes without sunscreen.
