Shop Helper/Apprentice for Wood Finishing Shop

Immediate opening available for shop helper/apprentice in established wood finishing shop. Primary duties include mask off, sand and prepare cabinets, furniture, doors, windows etc. for paint and or stain finish as well as shop maintenance (cleaning, sweeping, emptying trash). Most all work performed in shop location close to Van Nuys airport. Flexible schedule: 24-40 hours wk. Full time position possible for the individual demonstrating excellent work ethic and ability to learn and retain instruction. Must be willing and able to work well with others. Must have no pre-existing health conditions and be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be willing to perform light to moderate pickup and delivery in company provided transportation. Starting entry level wage is $ 15.00/hr. Compensation is non-cash, W-2 income with more possible for those with demonstrated painting and wood finishing experience. All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.
