Part-time Dog Walker needed immediately

Danny's Pet Care is looking for dog walkers for routes in NE DC near Brookland/Catholic University starting immediately. Ideally, you would be available for periodic dog or cat sitting (to include overnight in a client's home for dog sitting) as well. Requirements: - MUST be an animal lover (this is the key to loving this job!) - Responsible and reliable - you must be able to commit to working at least 6 months in this job - Ability to cover dog walking routes in one or more of the following areas in NE DC (Catholic U. and surrounding areas including Eckington, Edgewood, Brookland, Michigan Park, Woodridge and Ledroit park) - Be available Monday through Friday (all days!) between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. We would prefer someone who is available on evenings and weekends for pet sitting. - Must have reliable transportation (car or scooter preferred if you don't live in these neighborhoods) - At least 2 work references as well as a criminal background check will be required - Must have a working cell phone that can receive text messages; email access is also necessary. - For dog walking, you must be comfortable with different sizes and breeds of dogs. - Must be an energetic person who enjoys working outdoors and possesses good walking shoes and durable all-weather gear; must be able to walk for several hours at a time in all kinds of weather as this is a core requirement of the job. -Prior experience with dogs and cats What We Offer: - Walkers are compensated starting at a minimum of $11.00 one dog and $16 for 2 dogs (from the same household) per 30 minute walk. Payment is every two weeks and is based per walk. For walkers who are with the company for one year, there is a possibility for bonus pay for solid work performance. Pay for cat visits is $15 per visit and overnight dog sitting is $45 per visit. - Spending time with our amazing dog and cat clients!
