Umpire for Summer Softball - Weeknights, Weekends & Additional Coverage (covering shifts) Part-time job We're looking for softball umpires for the summer season. This is for a Weeknight or Weekend league & additional coverage as needed. Successful candidates will assist the company in helping our games run smoothly, while reminding our members to just have a good time and enjoy the social aspect of our leagues. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE: • Manage all on-field logistics including: timely set-up, start and completion of games • Umpire 2 games/week on the same night, same location • Resolve on-field disputes between teams • Work with the S3 staff to improve the quality of our leagues • Learn S3 Leagues Rules • Attend umpire training session REQUIRED: • Commit to entire season (some exceptions allowed) • Have a basic understanding of softball/knowledge of calls • Excellent communication and problem solving skills • Ability to handle conflict diplomatically • Be fun, social and personable PREFERRED: • Previous experience as an umpire, referee or customer service • Ideal candidates should be young professionals living in the Boston area with interest in softball TO APPLY: Send your resume to our contact form by visiting our website:.
