Position Summary: Landscape Construction Superintendents are responsible for assigning tasks to crew members, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with clients. You must have knowledge of grading, drainage, landscape installation, irrigation, lighting and hardscape installation. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Knowledge of grading and drainage, proper use of laser level • Hardscape installation • Landscape and irrigation installation • Ability to operate necessary equipment and hand tools • Able to communicate in English, both written and verbally • Read and understand plans • Customer service skills • Ability to work well with others • Ability to manage multiple crews • Cost effective decision making • Able to meet deadlines Education and Experience • 5+ years of experience in landscape construction or related field • Valid driver's license with clear record • OR LCB License preferred but not required Essential Functions • Assign daily tasks to crew members • Oversee install of all phases of landscape, irrigation, pavers and walls • Following plans and specifications • Complete timecards, work orders and change orders • Maintain accurate record of labor, equipment, and materials • Estimate labor, equipment and material • Coordinate subcontractors to keep company and client interests intact • Properly manage projects including staff, equipment and materials • Maintain open communication with general contractors and landscape architect • Cooperate with administrative support • Assure that personnel adhere to all company policies • Establish, maintain and promote safe working practices • Proper operation and care of company tools and equipment • Regular attendance *no response to unqualified applicants
