Do you have the experience to “do it all” in an automotive parts Warehouse? We are looking for a Senior Warehouse Associate who excels in the full cycle of duties necessary to keep our automotive parts warehouse running smoothly. You will perform all the functions related to filling orders, including picking, staging and packing goods for shipment. You will also deal with the all aspects of the receipt and storage of product, utilizing material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks. This also includes loading and unloading carriers, unpacking and counting goods received, as well as providing feedback to purchasing and suppliers as needed. You may also perform cycle counting to verify the accuracy of inventory and the corresponding data entry. A Day on the Job: *Picking/Filling – Using the pick ticket, locate, pick and verify parts listed on the order. Verify parts by location and part number. Stage orders to be packaged and shipped. Fill orders as necessary to avoid backlog. Document and resolve any discrepancies found in the warehouse, (wrong bin locations, damaged parts, bad counts, etc.) *Packaging – Using cardboard boxes and packing material, ensure that every order shipped is properly packaged to avoid damage. Follow any special packaging instructions listed on the pick ticket. *Shipping – Maintain 99.9% shipping accuracy. Using the computer systems for the package carriers, or the manual log, ship out every order printed before the pre-set cutoff time. Using the pick ticket to instruct you on shipment method, invoicing instructions, and special handling instructions, ship each order to the correct address, and ensure special handling notes are followed. *Receiving – Using a computer terminal, receive stock into inventory, verifying part numbers and quantities with corresponding purchase orders and packing slips. Put away all merchandise in proper bin location the same day it comes in. Document all bin changes and new bin assignments. Label any merchandise as required. Resolve all receiving discrepancies in a timely matter. Assure any discrepancies are resolved with the supplier and notify purchasing and the Supervisor as needed. *Cycle Counting – Use PC to print out reports necessary for cycle counting. Locate, verify and count merchandise as specified. Document and correct any discrepancies found. Do you have what we are looking for? • Three years warehouse work experience. • Valid driver’s license and good driving record. • Ability to drive forklift and use hydraulic and mechanical equipment. • Possess good computer, data entry, math and oral/written communication skills. • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn how to safely operate a range of equipment. • HS Diploma or equivalent.
