OUR COMPANY Portland based company Grow and Make is in the business of designing, producing and supplying DIY kits. We’re interested in hiring individuals who can pace themselves throughout a work day, show flexibility, have a keen sense for detail, and can be self directed as well as team oriented. This position is month to month, and is generally seasonal but our busy season continues to fluctuate, and the position could lead to permanent employment. THE JOB Jobs include: -Working with the team in an assembly line building kits -Packaging and labeling boxes and packets of product -Printing labels and instruction booklets, sealing, -Basic setup and clean up, and other random small tasks. SCHEDULE and PAY The starting pay is $14 an hour. The schedule we are hiring for is Monday through Friday 9am - 5pm. If you are only interested in part-time work, we are also hiring a few part time employee's that are only available for only a portion of these shifts. REQUIREMENTS - Dependable, presentable, and task oriented self starter - Passionate about quality standards and willing to uphold and enforce those standards in a high volume environment. - Possess verbal communication skills that promote a positive and productive team environment - Ability to understand and adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols as well as company policies and procedures. You will be required to get a food handlers card if you don't already have one. - Ability to stand for 7 hours a shift and carry 30 lbs, and lift heavier items with the help of a coworker - Bonus if you have useful computer skills that can be utilized with an e-commerce business such as ourselves. This is a physical job, and many shifts can consist of hours of repetitive motion, such as capping 1000’s of bottles, labeling hundreds of packets, or stacking 1000’s of kits on pallets. On the contrary, some shifts will consist of long hours of sitting, and light duty repetitive tasks. Please be excited to work in either environment as production needs dictate.
