HMS Landscape & Design looking for reliable Tree Climber/trimmer able to work in Phoenix AZ heat!! 6107 S 32nd St Phoenix, AZ 85042 Summary of Job: Responsible for cutting down, pruning, trimming of trees and palms. Must be able to climb and perform a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance of trees. Essential Functions: • Safely climb trees to maintain tree’s health and appearance. Cut away dead, obstructive, or excess branches from trees. • Utilize chain saws and work with crews to safely cut down limbs. • Utilize climbing equipment, proper use of ropes, knots, spikes, chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers. • Ensure all hand tools and climbing equipment are well maintained • Perform other duties as assigned Job Skills/Requirements: • Must have at least 2 years of experience in tree climbing • Knowledge of safe climbing techniques, tree pruning and removals • Knowledge of trees and proper pruning techniques • Ability to operate hand, power and heavy equipment (chainsaws, hand saws, pole pruners, stump grinders and chippers) • Must be able to perform assigned duties such as: walking, standing, sitting or climbing for extended periods of time • Must understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions • Must work safely and efficiently with others • Must follow all OSHA standards Physical Demands/Working Conditions: • Able to work safely at heights of 20-60 feet • Able to lift 80 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried and/or pushed) • Able to walk/stand for long periods of time • Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may part of daily job duties • Contact with various plants, flowers and chemicals • Must be able to work outside for extended periods of time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
