Zukin Realty, a commercial and residential property management company located in Rittenhouse, Center City, Philadelphia, is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • General maintenance work and light construction to facilitate tenant fit outs, tenant maintenance requests and long-term preventive maintenance • Completing work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters and light bulbs, patching walls, painting, repairs to bathroom toilets, sinks, etc. • Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned • Paint and finish common areas and fixtures • Maintain sidewalks in front of properties & rear parking areas in a clean and presentable manner--snow removal when necessary • Follow procedures that ensure the security of inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, equipment, etc. • Report low levels of supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimize waste • Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to Building Engineer • Conduct all work in live and occupied areas in a clean and quiet manner to ensure strong tenant satisfaction • Assist with other duties as assigned Requirements: • 2+ year(s) of general building maintenance and repair experience • Completion of high school diploma or related vocational training preferred • Basic knowledge of electrical fixtures • Ability to make minor plumbing repairs • Ability to hang, finish, paint and repair drywall • Basic carpentry skills a plus • Appliance repair skills a plus • Ability to perform heavy lifting (at least 60 lbs.), climb ladders up to 24 feet, stand and walk for 8 hours, and perform other physically demanding duties as directed • Must be able to climb several flights of stairs in the event of an emergency.
