We are a local fire alarm company that is seeking self-driven, punctual, hard-working individuals that are looking for a career. We will teach you how the basics if you are willing to learn. Job Summary: Fire Alarm helpers assist the lead technician with the installation of fire alarm systems, including start-up through final testing. Benefits: • Competitive wages, salary based on experience • Company paid time off and paid holidays • 401K with company matching • Choice of medical plan options • Company paid life insurance • Paid licensing and NICET testing reimbursement Responsibilities: • Adhere to and participate in all company quality, safety standards and regulations. • Present a positive demeanor to the customer and company employees • Provide exceptional workmanship at all levels(organization, detail, neatness and quality) • Process all paperwork in a timely manner Physical and Mental Requirements: • Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, and present a professional image • Must possess critical thinking skills as well the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentations • Must be able to act as the company liaison for interface with customer representatives • Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed • Must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements: • At least 18 years of age • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency • Must be highly competent with a computer • Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical and background check • Valid driver's license with excellent driving record and reliable transportation (3 year DMV report must be provided prior to start) • Knowledge of building and construction materials, methods, and tools a plus. • Will be provided basic hand tools • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
