Go Kart Track Manager REPORTS TO: Assistant General Manager; Facilities Supervisor JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the overall operations of the go kart track. Specifically, to ensure the go karts operate in a safe, efficient manner, the appearance of the track area is clean at all times, and that all employees are well trained and conduct themselves professionally. Your responsibility requires that you have frequent meetings with the Assistant General Manager about risk management, and total track operations. You are required to work hand in hand with the parks facility manager on physical appearance, and equipment operations of the track. You must review records and documents that are compiled about equipment and incidents to verify their frequency and accuracy. Evaluate continuing performance levels regarding general performance, as well as safety consciousness, and make recommendations to the management team as to continued employment status of staff under your direction. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Always maintain a safe environment for guest and track employees -Ensure that all track employees are properly trained -Make sure all track employees are current with track safety rules -Oversee all employee job performances -Run track operations/races with fellow track employees -Track employees are in proper positions and operating track in a safe manner -All opening and closing checklists are completed daily -Handle guest complaints properly within company guidelines -Conduct monthly meetings with track employees -Counsel and praise for job performance -Find and mentor a Go Kart Track Assistant Manager SKILLS REQUIRED: -Great communication -Leader and Motivator -Athletically inclined -Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time -Always be alert and attentive -Ability to push upwards of 300 to 400 pounds -Mechanical background a plus ******MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK******* ******Must be AVAILABLE to work nights and weekends**************** Please email resume with Go Kart Manager in the subject line of email.
