Obara is a sandfish skink, which is a small skink species that loves to burrow in sand. Obara is 10 years old so definitely an older skink, but she is healthy, has good body condition, and is a good eater. While these skinks are adorable, they mostly stay buried! She will pop her head up every once in awhile to hunt bugs, but they are not a display pet. Her adoption fee is $40. PLEASE READ! If you are interested in adopting Obara, you need to fill out an application at www.bewildnc.org/apply. Read the application carefully and answer the questions thoroughly. Above all, be honest! Research the species you would like to adopt in advance and consult multiple sources, we are happy to answer questions. Adopters agree to pick-up the animal in Durham within 7 days of their approval. Due to the current pandemic, adoptions will be performed with social distancing in mind.
