Description

The Supervisor is a key leader position in the distribution and operations organization reporting directly to the VP of Operations. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as knowledge of warehouse operations to include inventory control, shipping and receiving operations in a Direct Sales organization. Preference for warehouse voice pick experience and union environment is a plus but not required. Supervisor will manage the night to night aspects of operations, ensuring the highest level of customer service from the warehouse to customers while improving productivity through continuous improvement in fill rate, throughput and cost. Ability to identify and plan for staffing requirements based on knowledge of warehousing and distribution operations. Has the ability to make decisions based on experience in shipping, receiving and inventory control. Ensures that procedures and processes match requirements of the operation. Capability to train and implement new technology and processes while maintaining productivity.
