3 year old pup for active, loving home

I have a 3 1/2 year old Old Southern White Bulldog that I am needing to rehome. He is fixed, up to date on shots, and a beautiful, sweet boy. He is big--80 pounds, very energetic, and likes to jump so he would be best in a family who can handle a big boy. He hates cats, so also best in a family with no cats or smaller animals (ferrets, rabbits, etc.). He does get along really well with other dogs, but because he is so big and energetic not all dogs like his friendly intentions. There are two reasons I need to rehome him: 1. I had botched foot surgery last year so my balance is horrible. I don't have the balance to lead him because of his size and have had a few falls. 2. I have a terminally ill parent who is moving in with me so I cannot have a dog of his size around him. I'm not looking for a rehoming fee, just a good person/family for him. He loves water so I could totally see him being someone's fishing buddy. He is a love bug who just needs a person who doesn't mind a high energy pup who'd rather sit in your lap than be apart.
