We are reluctantly considering having to adopt out our 6 yr old female goffins cockatoo due to ongoing health issues. She is friendly, talks, dances, loves to give kisses and cuddles, loves to play with her toys. She started plucking a little 3 years ago but after being vet checked the vet just said that it was her hormones and always tends to get worse certain times of year. She is still pretty well feathered because we have tried our best to make sure she gets plenty of foraging toys, baths, exercise, and fresh air, and sunshine. Unfortunately, with our health issues getting progressively worse we haven't had the time or energy to give her the time, ECT. That she needs and deserves. So we are considering adopting her out to the right family. She does not come with a cage. She will come with some of her favorite toys. She is on roudybush pellets, fresh daily chop, and Birds Love Natural Garden Blend seed mix. She prefers the mini size roudybush pellets and the cockatiel size seed mixes. She loves most all fruits and veggies. I'm heartbroken to even consider rehoming her but I want her to be spoiled by someone that has the time and energy for her. These are not cheap parrots.
