Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. MS and the challenges of living with its unpredictable symptoms, ranging from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis, affect millions of people. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. Named after the cult classic, This is Spinal Tap, the team Spinal Tap took form 7 years ago when Becky Hamel was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Multiple sclerosis affects millions of people, including our loved ones, families, friends and co-workers. As a person living with MS, Becky and her team are am willing to do whatever they can to show support for anyone who has been affected by this. Her family has three members, including her, living with MS. So together with her father, mother, husband, and the rest of her amazing family, Team Spinal Tap, has registered for Bike MS for the 7th year. Bike MS is a ride that brings us together to make a difference and each mile we ride brings us closer to a world free of MS. Every year the team has a fundraising event to raise money for the ride, this year’s event is January 10th. In the past years they began as a team of twelve who raise $8,000 to a team of 100 who raised $92,000. If you come to this show or if you would like to donate below, you would be helping us get one step closer to our ultimate goal to stop MS in its tracks.
