Timco Logistics, a trucking company in Pasadena, TX has immediate opening for Trailer Mechanic in Pasadena, TX. Candidate must:
· Must be a self-starter with a strong ability to manage time wisely and work productively.
· Log in and out of repair orders in a computerized shop management system to include job codes, Complaint, Cause, and Correction for each repair
· Perform trailer PM services as required by DOT 49 CFR 396.
· Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturers specifications on trailers.
Have experience with the following types of trailer repairs: brakes, suspension, floor repair and replacement, trailer body including roof repairs and side panel replacement, electrical repairs including ABS.
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Adheres to strict safe work practices to comply with all Company, DOT and OSHA regulations.
· Operate class 8 vehicles in yard conditions, move fleet equipment safely around yard and into and out of service facility.
Salary will be based on experience and job responsibilities.
Requirement’s:
• Be 18 years or older
• Have a valid Driver License (Class A or B CDL preferred)
• Be a HS Grad or Equivalent (Tech school grad preferred)
• Have a minimum three years Class 8 mechanic experience
• Be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Have own tools
• Computer Experience a plus
