Description

I got my son a bearded dragon for his birthday a couple of years ago. It was a sweet little tiny Petsmart dragon, all of 3 inches long. I worked at a pet store that sold reptiles for several years, so I was confident that we would be good dragon owners... I in fact have my own dragon that is a wonderful pet. His Beardy got taken home to Bakersfield, and unfortunately he didn't care for it much. In reality, he was afraid of it, and in his own fear of it, he withdrew his hand quickly every time the lizard moved, creating an atmosphere of fear and anxiety - eventually making this lizard quite aggressive. I feel terrible for it - it doesn't live here with me, but they are ready to get it to a good home where someone can spend the time to tame it - if thats even possible. I can arrange for the transfer of the lizard, which is a beautiful creature, but need someone who is responsible and patient to care for and hopefully get it to be happy again. It comes with everything needed - lamp fixtures, tank, etc. I can provide it in a 20 Gal, as a transfer tank, but it needs a larger tank, without question. I just wish I had more control of the situation when it was younger, and I suppose one could look at it as a learning experience, but at the lizards expense. It attacks hands... it attacks its bowl. It flings its food everywhere... someone please help.
