Some Skate Experience Preferred
This drop in class is built for those who haven’t skated in a while or need to brush up on basic skating techniques. This class is a refresher on the 6 basic skating skills: how to fall, how to get up, how to stand, how to start, how to turn, and how to toe stop and will also teach the basic fundamentals such as but not limited to safety, balancing, stability, as well as overall skating ability. Each week a new skill will be taught such as crossovers, gliding, balancing, steer circles, flamingo, scissors, and stoking. You’ll also be introduced to line routines, basic backwards skating, and basic spins. The instructors will have a chance to assess your skill and comfort level before advancing you to the next level.
SKATE FITNESS is a roller skating initiative that provides Rhythm Roller Skating lessons.
