Mode Remade, in collaboration with TKCreations101 and TINKUNAKUY NJ, presents a CREATIVE UPCYCLING WORKSHOP, an event for the whole family.You can BYOC (bring your own clothes) or purchase some hand-picked t-shirts from us to customize and upcycle! Have a favorite T-shirt that was "ruined" by a pizza stain? No problem! We will teach you how to strategically cover that stain and create a unique work of wearable art! Featuring: Eco-dyeing: Learn how to create beautiful one-of-a-kind items using plants and flowers!Tie-dye: Learn how to camouflage unintentional stains with intentionally placed colors!Upcycling & Refashioning: Turn your old shirt or jeans into a fun accessory ! Children will learn simple hand stitches and will make their own bracelets and tote bags out of upcycled fabrics.Introduction to Kichwa: Discover a new language! Learn some of the fundamental words and phrases of this indigenous language native to South America in an interactive setting.Artisanal Tortillas de Tiesto Demo: Experience an indigenous treat from South America with a demonstration by Mama Lupe.
