Survivors Ball will honor incredible survivors with an evening of celebration, spotlighting their journeys and how they overcame the odds. On Saturday, October 2, 2021, Angelia Dunbar, as Founder of the My Story Our Journey non-profit organization, will host the 3rd annual Survivors Ball event at The Sheraton Dallas hotel. This highly anticipated event will return to uplift and honor a new group of “survivors” with an evening of celebration and recognition, spotlighting their incredible journeys and accomplishments as they have overcome insurmountable odds. The honorees’ stories span a wealth of survival categories from domestic violence to cancer to suicide survival, molestation, near death experiences and more. Despite these challenges, each and every one of these honorees have blossomed and overcome. Their quality of life has substantially increased and they are walking in purpose and passion every single day of their lives.
