The Barlow - Sebastopol Local. Food. Art. Wine. Groundskeeper In a Nutshell: The Barlow is an artisan community of shops and restaurants based in downtown Sebastopol located on 12.5 acres of land that was previously the home to a historic apple cannery. It brings together 40 of the very best wine makers, food producers and artisans creating a space that offers a direct connection between the consumer and the makers of the local products they love. It's a place for the community to conduct business, share food and enjoy art, wine and time together. The Job: The Groundskeeper is charged with supporting all aspects of day-to-day facilities and janitorial operations, including but not limited to the following tasks: • Cleans and maintains assigned campus facilities (ex. restrooms, trash enclosures, grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, doors and windows, light fixtures, skylights, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment and ensuring the site is suitable for safe operations. • Uses and maintains supplies and equipment (ex. a variety of cleaning solutions, paper products, mops, light bulbs, ballasts, paint etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items required to properly maintain facilities. • Creates great relationships with tenants and delivers exceptional customer service. • Reports directly to Property Manager and works in coordination with onsite Landscape Technicians, Maintenance Technicians and Janitorial staff • Follows all safely rules and regulations • Other duties as requested The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: • Cleaning experience and/or Groundskeeper experience preferred • Excellent verbal skills • Possess honesty and personal integrity • Dependable and reliable • Must have the ability to work with or without supervision • Physical Demands including: lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; climbing ladders and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling; significant reaching, handling and use of scissor lift. • Ability to work in primarily outdoor areas in weather extremes year-round. The Barlow runs a criminal background check. The Barlow provides scissor lift training and certification. Hours: This is a full time position, 35-40 hours per week. Early mornings and weekends required.
