The Barlow - Sebastopol Local. Food. Art. Wine. Assistant Landscaper In a Nutshell: The Barlow is an artisan community of shops and restaurants based in downtown Sebastopol located on 12.5 acres of land that was previously the home to a historic apple cannery. It brings together 40 of the very best wine makers, food producers and artisans creating a space that offers a direct connection between the consumer and the makers of the local products they love. It's a place for the community to conduct business, share food, and enjoy art, wine and time together. The Job: The Assistant Landscaper is charged with supporting all aspects of day-to-day landscape maintenance operations, including but not limited to the following tasks and skills: • Landscape experience not required but helpful – must be willing and ready to learn! • Excellent verbal skills – Must be able to speak, read and write English. • Reports directly to the Landscape Technician and works in coordination with other onsite Maintenance staff. • Physical Demands including lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; climbing ladders and balancing. Significant stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling; significant reaching, handling and use of a • scissor lift. • Able to lift 60 lbs. to chest height • Able to work above from above head to below feet • Ability to work in primarily outdoor areas in heat and rain. • Possess honesty and personal integrity • Dependable and reliable • Must have the ability to work with or without supervision • Creates great relationships with tenants and delivers exceptional customer service. • Follows all safely rules and regulations • Valid Driver’s License preferred • Other duties as requested The Barlow runs a criminal background check. The Barlow provides scissor lift training and certification. Hours: This is a full-time position, 35-40 hours per week.
