We are back to LIVE AND IN PERSON! Theme: Truth or DareAs summer draws to a close, we've got a question for you: Truth or Dare? Interested in presenting? Here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing: What piece of history have you uncovered? What creative projects have you been taking a risk on? When have you dared to be brave? Been on the fence about presenting? We dare you to get behind the microphone this month. As always, themes are free to interpret how you wish, including not at all. You've got a fire that fuels you, and every passion is worth sharing. We want to hear about it. This month we're at a BRAND NEW venue. Our friends at The Guild are welcoming us to their beer garden at the end of the Providence Pedestrian Bridge. What is PechaKucha? If you haven't heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon, PechaKucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. Simply put: it's 6 minutes and 40 seconds of show and tell for grown-ups. It began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to over 1,200 cities worldwide, and first landed in Providence in March of 2009. To the best of our knowledge, Providence is the only chapter in the entire world that hosts a PechaKucha Night every month of the year.
