NEW YORK CITY — An Italian fashion company is suing Kendall Jenner for $1.8 million after the model allegedly failed to show up to a photo shoot, court records show. In a Manhattan supreme civil court suit filed last week, Liu Jo accused the reality television star of bailing on the second of two shoots for which she was paid $1.5 million. Jenner appeared at the first European shoot in 2019 —which celebrated both the company and the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star turning 25 — and was paid $1.35 million, according to the suit. The second shoot was scheduled for March 2020 in London, but when the pandemic closed done borders, it was postponed, the suit claims. Liu Jo hoped to reschedule the second shoot in Italy for September 2020 but Jenner replied it would be "impossible" to travel because of the pandemic, the shoot claims. The suit alleges Jenner did travel to Italy to work with another designer and when Liu Jo offered to accommodate her schedule, and split the cost of a private flight, Jenner refused. Liu Jo was forced to hire another model and has yet to be reimbursed by Jenner, the suit claims. "As a result of Ms. Jenner's dilatory and bad-faith actions," the suit reads, "Liu Jo has been forced to file this lawsuit." The Society Management, which represents Jenner, denied the charges in a statement published by Page Six Style. "This suit is without merit," the statement reads. "The Society Management, on behalf of Ms. Kendall Jenner, has continually offered Liu Jo alternative dates and locations to fulfill an agreement that was forced to be delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic."
