Girls Scouts can create an outfit out of recycled goods and show off their creativity by walking the runway. Girls Scouts from troop 70738. This fashion show is to promote & raise awareness for the ecosystem, making the earth a cleaner & more creative place. During this event Girl Scout Troop 70738 will promote awareness and advocate how to recycle items in a creative way. Girls participating in the fashion show will create an outfit out of recycled goods. This may include, pants, dresses, jewelry, skirts, shirts and more. The more creative the better! Description: Girls Scouts can create an outfit out of recycled goods and show off their creativity by walking the runway. Location: Rochester Municipal Park Kiwanis Pavilion 400 6th st. Rochester, MI 48307 Girls Scouts from troop 70738 will judge the outfits and give away awards and prizes. Deadline: Please sign up by October 1, 2021 Please arrive on your designated time to get ready for your runway debut. Fees: Girls scouts entering in the fashion show $ 10.00 Fee includes: Admission to the fashion show Entry into the competition Pizza, snacks and drinks Badge for participating Spectators: $ 10.00 Fee includes: Admission to the fashion show Pizza, snacks and drinks When: October 9, 2021 There are designated times per age group… Daisies & Brownies 10:00am-12:00pm Juniors and Cadets 12:00pm-2:00pm Seniors 2:00pm-4:00pm List of Possible Materials: Plastic pop or water bottles Pop cans Plastic candy wrappers Newspaper Cardboard boxes Cereal boxes Possible ways to put your outfit together: Elmers Glue Hot glue Super glue Spray adhesive Rubber bands Clear Tape Duct tape Rules: Your outfit has to be 75% made from recyclables. NO FIRE with your outfit. You can wear undergarments underneath your recycled creation. Jewelry must be recyclable but earrings don’t have to. Do not make with food. No glass with an outfit. Must be no more than 3 inches or more above the knee. Do not show more than 1 ½ in. of your stomach. All proceeds go to 4ocean $10 = 1 pound of trash out of the ocean
