Description

What's Up Prince William August 06, 2021 Prince William County residents have a chance to get to know someone from another country. Education Travel & Culture (ETC), a non-profit, is seeking host families for two foreign exchange students. Volunteers living in the school boundaries for Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Gainesville High School, Brentsville High School in Nokesville, Potomac High School in Dumfries or Forest Park High School in Woodbridge are preferred. The two exchange students are Marie from Germany and Laura from Italy. Marie, who's allergic to cats and dogs, is a member of a tennis club and school book club. Playing piano and skiing are also among her hobbies. Marie is Catholic and acts as an altar server for her church. Laura enjoys playing sports, including volleyball, which she has played for 6 years. She enjoys taking photos, learning new languages, reading and listening to music, as well. Laura is afraid of animals, including cats and dogs. Families, who need to pass a background check, are required to provide a bedroom and three meals a day for the student they're hosting. They may share a room with a host sibling if they are the same gender and around the same age. The foreign exchange students have spending money and health insurance. Those interested in hosting Marie or Laura should contact Adriana Duenas from ETC at (602) 535-6600 or [email protected].
