Description

VIENNA, VA — A former Outback Steakhouse in Vienna could become a drive-thru bank with Town of Vienna approvals. Chase Bank is seeking a conditional use permit for a bank with a drive-thru ATM at 315 Maple Avenue East. The existing one-story building at Maple Avenue East and Glyndon Street SE would be demolished and replaced with a new bank and drive-thru ATM. The project requires review from the town's Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals. That's the second drive-thru bank proposed recently for the 300 block of Maple Avenue East. The former Peet's Coffee and Tea location at 332 Maple Avenue East was approved earlier this year to open as a drive-thru Burke & Herbert Bank. As reported by Tysons Reporter, the Outback Steakhouse closed last summer. It had been in business for a quarter century at the location. The Planning Commission should have the Chase Bank proposal on the agenda on Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m. The agenda will be posted one week before the meeting.
