The Lilac School offers early childhood in-home care inspired by the principals of Waldorf Education for children two and a half to six years old in SW Denver. During these years we seek to awaken and nourish the child’s creative and playful nature and to nurture their sense of wonder, reverence, and gratitude. Through imaginative free play, developmental movement, storytelling, songs, painting, projects, cooking, and time in nature they gain an inner well-being as they feel part of their world. The children learn to become social beings, able to help and be helped by those around them. The rhythm of the school day beginning with outdoor free play then circle time, the ritual of sitting down together for an organic nutritious snack and the joy of indoor play with all natural materials—carries the children through each day. We honor the rhythms of the seasons and share festivals throughout the school year. I am First aid and CPR certified. Please contact directly for hours and cost.
