HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Kids battling cancer enjoyed a reprieve from their daily battle through the Ears Over Fears Program's Christmas in July campaign. Organized by the Howard County Association of Realtors, Ears Over Fears offers a fun craft activity where the pediatric cancer patients could design their own ears. The realtors association collected all of the materials needed, from the headbands and ears to stickers, markers, gems, feathers and more like super hero caps and hair bows. According to the association, "the ears are worn as a reminder that the kids are stronger than their fears." "Children who battle cancer are stronger than they can imagine, and HCAR is proud to be a part of an effort to help them realize that strength," HCAR President Shirley Matlock said. "Thank you so much to all of our members and community partners who donated to the Christmas in July campaign."
