ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — School supplies have returned to the shelves. That means families across Anne Arundel County are marking their calendars with the first day of class. Students head back after Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 6) and Rosh Hashanah (Tuesday, Sept. 7). Here is when Anne Arundel County Public Schools students will return. First Day Wednesday, Sept. 8 (Grades 1–5, 6 and 9 only.)Thursday, Sept. 9 (Everybody else in grades 1 through 12.)Wednesday, Sept. 8 through Friday, Sept. 17 (Staggered openings for ECI, Pre-K and Kindergarten. See the chart at this link.) Here are all the off days in the 2021 to 2022 AACPS calendar: Yom Kippur Thursday, Sept. 16 Thanksgiving Break Wednesday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 28 Winter Break Friday, Dec. 24 through Sunday Jan. 2 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday, Jan. 17 Semester Break Monday, Jan. 31Only students are off. Teachers work this day. Presidents' Day Monday, Feb. 21 Spring Break Saturday, April 9 through Monday, April 18 Eid al-Fitr And Professional Development Day Tuesday, May 3Only students are off. Teachers work this day.
