AUSTIN, TX — One person is dead and another remains missing after a water rescue involving three people in the Hudson Bend area on Lake Travis on Sunday. Austin-Travis County EMS said it received multiple 911 calls around 2:46 p.m. Sunday about a person struggling in the water near the 5700 block of Longhorn Landing, before appearing "lifeless." Medics said one person was dead on scene, one was evaluated for non-life threatening injuries and refused transport and the search of another swimmer had transitioned to a "recovery." #ATCEMS & Multiple ESDs are responding to a Water Rescue at 5708-6000 Longhorn Landing (14:46). 911 callers reporting one person was struggling in the water, now "appears lifeless." No updates were made Monday morning. The identity of the person who died Sunday was also not available.
