MAHWAH, NJ — Ramapo College will host another on-campus vaccination clinic on Tuesday, with more dates set to come as the beginning of the fall semester approaches. The Mahwah college has partnered with Bergen New Bridge Medical Center for a series of clinics, and has already hosted three. The next clinic will be held on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. This comes after Ramapo announced that all students who will be on-campus in any capacity this semester will have to follow a vaccine mandate, excluding students with medical or religious exemptions. Employees at the college will not have to be vaccinated, however, and can choose between an inoculation or weekly COVID-19 testing. The Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available at all clinics, including the one this week. Other dates include Aug. 10, Aug. 19 and Sept. 9. These clinics come as healthcare networks, hospitals and local communities are urging students to receive vaccinations before the start of school, especially since a rise in spread of the delta variant. Holy Name Medical Center, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center and Hackensack Meridian Health have partnered for a vaccine drive, hoping to expand vaccinations before the start of the fall semester across North Jersey.
