JOLIET, IL — A 37-year-old Joliet man was arrested by police over the weekend in connection with allegations he slammed a woman's head into a wall and punched her in the face. Joliet police transported Ronald Fasano to the Will County Jail around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on domestic battery charges, jail logs show. Fasano, who lives in the 1200 block of Richmond Street, was released from custody later that same afternoon after posting 10 percent of his $7,500 bail, jail records indicate. Joliet squad cars arrived at Fasano's house around 11:25 p.m. on Friday after police were notified of a domestic disturbance. Police said that a woman was beaten by her boyfriend, Fasano. "Further investigation indicated that during an argument, Fasano struck the victim in the face and forced her head into the wall," Joliet Police Sgt. Dwayne English stated. "Officers located Fasano nearby, and he was taken into custody without incident."
