WESTLAKE, OH — Two loaded handguns, drug paraphernalia and scales were found during a traffic stop in Westlake on Friday, police announced. At 10:30 a.m., a Westlake officer stopped a car on I-90 near the Columbia Road exit. Police said they stopped the car because they noticed equipment violations on the car and there were issues with the driving. The driver, a 21-year-old Cleveland man, had no license and was wanted by Brooklyn Police for driving violations. Officers also saw signs of illegal drug use in the car. Officers searched the vehicle and found two loaded handguns, scales and drug paraphernalia, police said. The driver was taken into custody and moved to Westlake Jail. The driver could face charges of carrying a concealed weapon, improper handling, driving without a license, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
