DEARBORN, MI — Dearborn is continuing to bring summer fun and excitement through its free 2021 "Music Under the Stars" concert series, with the next concert on Friday, Aug. 13 featuring Packin' Heat. Concerts are outside at Ford Field Park or inside at the Michael A. Guido Theater. All are free and attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs to the outdoor events. In the event of inclement weather, call 313-943-2354 or visit www.dearborntheater.com three hours prior to show time to determine if there has been a change in venues, according to event organizers. The 2021 summer concert series will generate the same type of community spirit and offer the same type of musical entertainment usually found at the city's homecoming festival, which was canceled in March 2021 due to COVID-19 safety concerns based on conditions at the time. Future concert dates and performersThe remaining 2021 Music Under the Stars lineup follows: Friday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. at Ford Field Park: Packin' Heat. This nine-piece band will perform a range of hits from Motown to recent popular music. Friday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. at Ford Field Park: Atomic Radio They will highlight a variety of hits from the '80s, '90s and today. Saturday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center: Dearborn Symphony Orchestra The Symphony will end the series with classical Broadway hits, music from popular films, and more. (This concert is free, but reserved tickets are available to Dearborn residents for $5. These can be purchased online at www.dearborntheater.com). The series has already seen energetic and fun performances from Fifty Amp Fuse, Motor City Brass Band, Kenny Cetera's Chicago Experience and The Santana Project.
