Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 08/08/2021  Preliminary information: On 8/8/21, officers responded to an auto accident at the location of I-20 WB and Capital Ave. Upon arrival, officers located multiple vehicles involved in the collision. AFR also responded to the scene to check for injuries. At this time, there are no life threatening injuries reported. Officers have temporarily shut down all lanes on I-20 WB as they investigate the details surrounding the collision and clear lanes of wreckage. The investigation continues.   Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
