QUALIFICATIONS Must meet the minimum requirements for employment: • 18 Years of age. • Pre-employment screening requirements: pass a pre-employment drug screens and pass a background check (some jobs require a background checks) • Have a phone to be reachable • Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Occasionally you may be asked to drive a company vehicle. • Have reliable transportation to be able to commute to the job. Punctuality is a must. • Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial and public works projects • Must be proficient in the operation of all common excavation equipment including but not limited too- excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, backhoes, skid steers, off-road dump trucks. Ability to operate a motor grader is a plus. • Knowledge in GPS machine control a plus • Good communication skills and punctuality is a must • Possess strong organizational skills and the motivation to operate in a clean professional manner ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES • Good communication skills, able to take direction well, think ahead and work efficiently • Must be able to follow direction, working both independently and in a team environment • Adhere to all company policies and procedures • Conduct self in a way that represents the company in a safe and professional manner • Work flexible hours RESPONSIBILITIES • Daily start-up procedures of equipment • Daily maintenance of equipment including greasing, cleaning of filters, fueling and cleaning of cab • Communicate any damage or maintenance needs to supervisor • Conduct that represents the company in a safe and professional manner • Ability to work overtime as needed. • Maintain and ensure consistent and accurate field reporting including daily reports, extra work orders, safety logs, and incident reports. Be able to identify and track additional work beyond scope • Conduct self that represents the company in a safe and professional manner WORKING CONDITIONS • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to #50lbs, bend, and stoop, squat, kneel, reach, grip, etc. • Occasionally drive a company-provided vehicle. • Some long hours and weekend work may be required. • Position will be exposed to various weather conditions, rain, sleet, snow, wind heat and cold. • Jobs are performed in outside environment with close proximity to highway traffic, heavy construction equipment and hazardous construction, which may include high spaces.
