Specialty Fleet Services has proudly been serving the many natural gas fleets of California with our mobile mechanics. Previous knowledge is desired but not mandatory. You should be able to Perform diagnostic and repair work for CNG and LNG vehicles fuel systems. (If not able to right away, must be willing to learn about these types of vehicles). Must be willing to travel and work irregular hours. Looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is responsible to be an independent worker. Some experience is desired but not necessary, our veteran technicians provide on the job training. For the first, three-to-six-months, you will be shadowing and training beside our team members in all work related to CNG/LNG fuel systems. You are to assist in all installs and repairs in the field at our customer's locations. During training you will be able to use tools supplied by SFS or borrow those belonging to our other technicians if they allow you to. At the end of your training you must own all tools required to perform any work related to CNG/LNG fuel system repairs and installs. At the end of your training, you will be expected to perform your duties independently and will be expected to perform your duties independently and will be dispatched to mobile service calls. In addition to repairs, you will be expected to perform Certified CNG Tank Inspections after receiving the appropriate certification. Your primary responsibility is taking lead in the natural gas fuel system market but is not limited to such work. You will also be expected to deliver parts to customers, assist with inventory counts, bag and label parts, destroy/dispose CNG tanks, and help at part hubs when needed. SFS covers hotel fees and meal receipts will be reimbursed if you do not have a company credit card. SFS will pay $100/day, non-taxed, periderm for each day while working out of your assigned state (does not apply during training period).
