Summary of Qualifications: • Provide assistant and performs duties as directed by Crew Chief. • Holds level or stadia rod at designated points to assist in determining elevations and laying out stakes for mapmaking, construction, land, and other surveys. • Measures distance between survey points with steel or cloth tape or surveyor's chain. • Marks measuring points with markers, paint sticks, tacks, scratches or stakes. • Places stakes at designated points and drives them into ground at specified elevation. • Load/unload equipment and prepare trucks for daily jobs. • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely fashion, be diligent in field procedures and maintain company standards at all times. Requirements: • Ability to work outside in extreme and varying weather conditions. • Ability to walk long distance through a variety of terrain. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. • Ability to operate a 3-5lb sledge hammer. • Ability to clear vegetation for clear line of sight.
